We are a newly opened villa only luxury resort constantly in high demand owing
to our never-before-seen product features and modern service offerings on the island of Zanzibar.
This role will suit a candidate that is a team player who is professional, results
orientated, has attention to detail and good people skills. The candidate must
have the ability to work independently while being part of a team. The role will
require investment in time, specifically over month and year ends, to produce
accurate and timely results.
This is a senior ‘live on remote property’ financial role that will report to the
General Manager and have little contact with guests. Accommodation & meals
will be provided at SafiraBlu Luxury Resort & Villas. No transportation provided.
Key Outputs Includes but Not Limited To:

Accurate recording and management of financial information
-
Maintaining and improving high financial standards and discipline
-
Meeting finance deadlines
-
Training of staff from various backgrounds and skill levels
-
Collation and resolution of general ledger queries
-
Assist front office manager/general manager with queries
-
Reconciling various accounts
-
Maintaining stock control procedures, assisting with stock counts when required
-
Monitoring the controls within the property and conducting internal audits
-
Develop and implement systems and procedures
-
Responsible for the compiling of budgets and quarterly reports
-
The implementation and/or maintenance of financial systems, processes and procedures ensuring the accuracy of data as extracted from multiple platforms
-
Processing of financial transactions over accounts payable and accounts receivable in compliance with the group financial policies and procedures
-
Reconciliation of supplier statements to the general ledger

Overseeing budgets for advertising, marketing, and promotions

Monitoring competition

Generating new ideas for customer incentives and accommodation or business packages

Attend trade shows when applicable

Advertising for events and special rate discounts and handling queries through social accounts

Handling social accounts (Instagram and Facebook)

Creating engaging, visual content for Instagram stories and promotions

Posting DAILY posts, reels, and stories to Instagram account
-
Digital design and creation of forms, formats, templates, menus and more
-
Maintenance of multiple QR codes around property

Updating and maintaining website with fresh content and updated information
-
Updating and maintaining Google profile with fresh content and updated information
-
Updating and maintaining booking channels (Booking, Expedia, Hotelbeds, TripAdvisor) with fresh content and updated information
-
Updating BluBook (sales brochure) with fresh content and updated information
-
Handling event requests and organization
-
Handling collaborations with influencers and content creators, ensuring deliverables set in contract are met
